The month of orientation (the opening seminar) is where the foundations for the educational program are laid. In this first month, Fellows will arrive to the Begin Center in Jerusalem for a series of seminar days relating to: Jewish history, Zionist thought, Israeli history, the structure of the Israeli democratic system and the structure of the Israeli government. During the opening seminar, Ulpan (Hebrew language course) will take place on a daily bases.
The opening seminar will provide a comprehensive introduction to Israeli society today, and will provide the Fellows with the necessary tools for the weekly seminars and for working in the Israeli government.
