Fellows will be housed at the Kfar Hastudentim - a student village located next to the Mount Scopus campus of the Hebrew University. The student village provides housing for Israeli and international students. Fellows will live five to an apartment, each getting their own room furnished with a single bed, a desk, a closet and shelves and with air-conditioning included. The living room, kitchen and washrooms are shared.
As this program is for post-college applicants, Fellows will also have the opportunity to arrange their own accommodation instead (which will mean the program costing them $11,000 rather than $15,000). We do warn Fellows that renting in Jerusalem is not cheap and will almost certainly cost them more over the ten months than the $4,000 they would save on the program cost.
In the even that Fellows do arrange their own housing, they must be based in Jerusalem. We can advise which neighborhoods in the city would be the most suitable.
During trips, accommodation is arranged by the program and will be in hotels, youth hostels, field schools or at campsites.
